Lost In Time

You used to know me

before I grew up and your mind became frozen in a time before I even existed.
You used to know so much about the world and everything in it

before you became trapped in your own youth.
Memories have now vanished and tomorrows are only your yesterdays.
You seem happiest there.
Sometimes I think I see a spark of recognition and you say something sounding like my name ?
But your fleeting glance of the present is gone in a blink and I slip back into a history that I'll soon never have even been a part of.
I listen to your tales of the school yard and just for a second

you smile and ask if I remember those days too?
But, I grew up while you've returned to a place and time where you laughed every day.
One day, perhaps you'll meet me again and you'll know who I am in this time frame ?

I shall visit you again
